Itinerary

We start our trip to Taxila at 08:30, Transfer into bus and drive towards Taxila. Firstly, we will start by visiting Taxila Museum; home to the collection of Gandharan Art dating back to 1st to 7th Century AD, collected from the sites of Taxila. It has approximately 7,000 Gandharan Artifacts.

Approximately 45 mins Drive from  Islamabad.

Afterwards, we would leave for the ancient monastery of Julian; which is located in the Haripur district Khyber Pakhtun Khwa near Khanpur Dam. Is an 2nd century ancient university of the world, built by the Kushan’s and was later destroyed by the White Huns in the 5th century.

Approximately 15 mins drive from Taxila Museum

Lunch: Later, we will have our lunch in Dream Land Restaurant Taxila and proceed to visit different sites of Taxila.

Approximately 15 min drive to from Jaulian

After visiting the Museum, we will go to the Dharmarajika Stupa and monastery, which was built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka the Great in the 2nd Century BC. It is one of the oldest stupa having the relics of Gautama Siddhartha Buddha.

Approximately 5 mins drive from Taxila Museum 

Among the sites of Taxila after Dharmarajika we will continue our trip, visiting the Sirkap City of Taxila, which was the Greek city of Taxila having different religious landmarks and was made in a citadel. This city was later occupied by the Parthian empire in the 2nd century AD.
