It’s not just cherry blossoms! The landscape is a mix of:
White: Apricot and Pear.
Pink/Rose: Cherry and Peach.
Bright Pink: Almond.
Not at all. While it’s becoming more popular, it remains a quiet, “raw” experience. You’ll find yourself in orchards with locals rather than thousands of tourists with selfie sticks.
It’s a season of contrasts. Days are crisp and sunny (15°C to 20°C), but nights are still freezing (0°C to 5°C), especially in Skardu. Snow is often still visible on the mountain peaks, providing a stunning backdrop to the pink flowers.
The Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan) are widely considered the safest regions in Pakistan for foreigners. The local culture is exceptionally hospitable. However, most tourists prefer hiring a local guide to navigate the language barrier and transport.
Layers are essential. Tourists often underestimate the “mountain chill.”
Essentials: A warm down jacket, sturdy walking shoes for orchards, and modest clothing (covering shoulders and legs) to respect local Gilgiti and Balti customs.

The Gandhara heritage thrived in what is now northern-western Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan, roughly between the 1st millennium BCE and the 1st millennium CE. This region served as a crossroads for trade and cultural exchange, bringing together influences from India, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

We take a tour of the 5000 year old Indus valley civilization and marvel at the magnificence of architecture that covers the most historical and culturally rich areas of Pakistan’s ancient history.
