THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SPRING BLOSSOM TOUR

The season generally runs from mid-March to late April, but it moves like a wave based on altitude.

It’s not just cherry blossoms! The landscape is a mix of:

  • White: Apricot and Pear.

  • Pink/Rose: Cherry and Peach.

  • Bright Pink: Almond.

Not at all. While it’s becoming more popular, it remains a quiet, “raw” experience. You’ll find yourself in orchards with locals rather than thousands of tourists with selfie sticks.

It’s a season of contrasts. Days are crisp and sunny (15°C to 20°C), but nights are still freezing (0°C to 5°C), especially in Skardu. Snow is often still visible on the mountain peaks, providing a stunning backdrop to the pink flowers.

The Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan) are widely considered the safest regions in Pakistan for foreigners. The local culture is exceptionally hospitable. However, most tourists prefer hiring a local guide to navigate the language barrier and transport.

Layers are essential. Tourists often underestimate the “mountain chill.”

  • Essentials: A warm down jacket, sturdy walking shoes for orchards, and modest clothing (covering shoulders and legs) to respect local Gilgiti and Balti customs.
