South Pakistan Jeep Safari is for those who are passionate about history and culture and love to travel. 

We begin in Karachi, the fifth largest and most populous city of Pakistan. Karachi has a lot to offer. Beautiful beaches, fantastic restaurants and historical routes dating back hundreds of years.

We travel through lovely desert landscapes to explore the one of the world’s biggest Necropolis at Makli Hill, dating from 14th to 18th century AD. We visit the Shah Jehan Mosque built in 17th century in the ancient town of Thatta before we proceed to Hyderabad where you explore its ancient forts and tombs of Kalhora Dynasty.

 We will visit a legendary poet and saint who lays at the famous shrine of the Lal Shahbaz Qalander at Sehwan sharif. He has thousands of pilgrims visiting his tomb during his Urs Festival.

Traveling through the corridors of history, you explore the most important archeological site in Moenjodaro over 5000 years old, where the Indus civilization was born. 

A boat ride on the Indus River to Sadhu Bella island for a visit to the Hindu temples decorated with carved statues of Hindu deities and scenes from the Hindu mythology is another option to entertain.

We take a short drive to Kot Diji through a beautiful landscape of date palm plantations to explore the impressive Kot Diji Fort built in 1803 and other excavation sites of old settlements dating back to 3500 to 2500BC. Later we proceed to the desert town of Bahawalpur at the edge of Cholistan Desert. We drive to Cholistan desert to visit the Derawar Fort built in 9th century. 

Feel free to enjoy a camel ride and a camp fire during your trip.

Itinerary

Arrive Karachi International Airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the impressive Mausoleum of Quid-e-Azam, the founder of Pakistan. Visit the Clifton beach to enjoy the sunset view. Overnight hotel.

Morning drive to Makli Hill, to visit the biggest necropolis in the world, dating back to 14th to 18th century Ad, we drive to Thatta, an ancient town to visit the 17th century Shah Jehan mosque, continue drive to Hyderabad through the lovely desert landscape of date palm trees. Afternoon we visit the Hyderabad Fort and Tombs of Kalhora and Talpur Mirs. Overnight hotel.

Morning after breakfast we drive to Moenjodaro, the mound of Dead, where we visit to the 5000 years old ancient excavated sites and impressive Museum of Indus Civilizations. Afternoon free to explore the area. Overnight hotel.

Morning visit the famous shrine of Lal shabaz Qalander in Sehwan Sharif of 13th century Ad, after then we drive to Sukkur an important town on the banks of Indus River. After noon Boat ride on Indus River to Sadhu Bella to visit the decorated statues of Hindu temples. Overnight hotel.

Morning after breakfast drive to Kot Diji, to explore the one of the oldest settlements in the world, visit the Kot Diji Fort built in 1803.after we continue drive to Bahawalpur. Afternoon visit the Bahawalpur museum and Colorful bazaars. Overnight hotel.

Drive to Derawar village and visit the impressive Derawar Fort built in the 9th century Ad on the edge of Cholistan desert, afternoon camel ride around the Fort. Evening enjoy the open-air meal and camping night.

Full day to explore the ruins of Dinghar and Mojghar Forts and visit the Lal Suhanra National park, to find the desert wild life species. Meals and overnight in Camp.

Early morning drive back to Bahawalpur and take a flight to Islamabad. After noon city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Overnight hotel.

Transfer to airport.
