What changed
Fee-waived online visas for 126 nationalities (tourist/business/investor), promised within ~24 hours once you apply online. You still complete Visa Prior to Arrival (an electronic pre-approval) before you fly.
Who’s eligible?
126 countries are eligible to apply for Free tourist, Business, of pilgrimage Visa. You just have to upload your Passport, and Photograph and fill the application with the information on your passport.
Where to apply
Official portal: Pakistan Online Visa. Create an account and select Tourist e-Visa or Visa Prior to Arrival as applicable. (Government and consular pages direct you here.)
What you’ll typically need
- Passport (6+ months validity, 2 blank pages recommended). Recent passport photo (digital).
- Basic itinerary + proof of accommodation or invite letter.
- Return/onward ticket.
- Card for any fees (if your nationality isn’t fee-waived).
Step-by-step (5 minutes to plan)
- Create account on the official portal and choose your visa type (Tourist / Business / Visa Prior to Arrival). Complete the form and upload documents (passport, photo, hotel/host contact).
- Submit & track. Many applicants under the new policy are approved quickly; some missions still advise up to a week—build buffer time.
