K2 BASE CAMP TREK 2025

K2 Base Camp Trek is one of the most adventurous trek in Karakoram starts from the village of Askoli, the last permanent settlement on the Braldu River in Shigar valley of Baltistan and Skardu, the headquarter town of Baltistan, known as little Tibet. It offers a gateway for adventure lovers to the beautiful valleys of Shangri-La, “Heaven on Earth” the name described by James Hilton in his Novel “The Last Horizons”.

K2, 8611 meters at the summit is locally known as Choghorithe second highest mountain in the world. It has been highlighted for the adventure lovers to enjoy the magnificence and grandeur of it’s presence. The trekking route goes along the Braldu River and joins the Baltoro glacier.

Concordia, which is the confluence of Godwin Austin and Vign glaciers, offers the most commanding views of K-2 (8611 meters), Broad peak (8048 meters), Gasherbrum iv (7925 meters), and many other countless peaks above 7000 meters.

We begin at Islamabad, and visit interesting sights, old military cantonment buildings in Rawalpindi and the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on the foothills of the Margallas. We take a spectacular flight to Skardu along the Nanga Parbat (8125 meters) in the western Himalayas. An impressive and panoramic view of the snow covered mountains in the Karakoram and Himalayan ranges are mesmerizing.

Itinerary

Morning arrive Islamabad international airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city sight seeing of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, visit the Shah Faisal Mosque with its unique architecture and Damn-e-Koh to have the view of Islamabad and Rawalpindi the twin cities. Overnight hotel

Morning fly to Skardu. Weather permitted. A 45 Minutes, spectacular flight takes you through over the mountain Ranges of Himalayas and Karakoram. Enjoy the view of Nanga Parbat, K-2 and many countless peaks can be seen on the clear weather. Arrive Skardu and transfer to hotel.

Morning drive to Askoli by four-wheel jeeps, enroute visits the Shigar Fort and Mosque built in 17th century Ad. We pass through the many scenic villages on the both sides of Braldu River. Overnight Camp.7-8 hours.

Today we start our first day of trek along the banks of Braldu River and cross the morains of Biafo Glacier before reach to this beautiful campsite. Meals and overnight in Camp.4 hours.

Morning after break fast trek to Jolah. On the way we can have the magnificent view of the Biafo Glacier and stunning peaks. We cross the Dumurdo River before we reach to the Jolah.meals and Overnight in camps. 3 hours.

Morning after break fast, start an easy and gentle walk on the flat trails along the Braldu River. We pass through the meadows and crossing the streams on the way before we reach to the Payo. Meals and overnight in tents. 5-6 hours.

A traditional rest on the Payu. The porters make Chapattis and prepare the pack lunches for their further trip to Baltoro glacier. Free day to explore the area. After noon at leisure. Overnight in Camp.

Morning after break fast we start the trek on the Baltoro Glacier and enjoy the magnificent view of Great Trango Tower, Ulibiho and and Payo peak. After a short walk on the Baltoro Glacier we cross and walk along the morains of the Baltoro glacier. Meals and over night in camp. 5-6 hours.

Another beauty full day walk on the morains of the Baltoro glacier and we pass through the beautiful and stunning views of the mountains. Meals and overnight in camp. 4-5 hours.

A very beautiful day starts on the baltoro glacier and we enjoy the magnificent views of the Mahabrum, Mustagh tower and many mountain. Meals and overnight in camp. 5-6 hours.

An easy walk on the Baltoro glacier, facing the magnificent panoramic views of the Gaherbrum iv (7925 meters) and Broad peak (8048 meters) a very stunning view of the many now covered peaks on the both sides and many countless peaks on our back. Meals and overnight in camp. 6-7 hours.

Free day at Concordia, a junction point of the Godwin Austin and Vign glaciers and offers a panoramic views of the giant mountains K-2, 8611 meters, Broad peak 8048 meters, Gasherbrum iv 7935 meters, Baltoro Kangri and many countless peaks of above 7000 meter peaks makes a perfect base to explore and enjoy. Overnight in camp.

Morning after break fast we start the trek on the Godwin Austin glacier up to K-2 Base camp, we walk along the glacieral morains and cross the glacier streams. we pass through the Broad peak Base camp on the right and facing the K-2 in front. Visit the Gilky memorial. Overnight camp. 7-8 hours.Day 14: Concordia

After break fast we trek back to Concordia by the same route follow the trail on the Godwin Austin glacier facing the panoramic view of chogholisa and Baltoro Kangri in front. Overnight Camp. 6-7 hours.

Trek back to urdukas follow the trail on the Baltoro glacier and facing the stunning view of Mustagh tower and cathederal group of towers. Meals and overnight in camps. 5-6 hours

After break fast trek back to Payu, fallow the trail along side the glaciers morains. Enjoy the magnificent view of the great Trango Tower and payu peak facing in front. Over night in camp. 6-7 hours.

Morning after break fast trek back to Julah, fallow the trail along side the Braldu River. over night in tents.

 

Trek back to Askoli village, cross the bridge on the Dumurdu River and follow the trail along the river and passing through the Biafo glacier. Overnight in camp. 3-4 hours.

Morning after break fast drive by jeeps to Skardu through the beautiful and scenic mountain villages and Narrow gorges along side the Braldu River. Overnight hotel. 7-8 hours.

 

Morning fly to Islamabad, Subject to weather conditions. if flight cancelled we will drive to Chilas through the narrow gorges along the Indus River meets in Gilgit River where we visit the meeting point of three great mountain ranges, The Himalayas, Karakoram and Hindukush.after then we continue drive through the Karakoram Highway and enjoy the magnificent view of Nanga Parbat (8125 meters) enroute to Chilas. overnight hotel

Free day at Islamabad, De briefing at the ministry of Tourism. Or drive from Chilas to Islamabad, enroute visit the ancient Buddhist Rock carvings and continue drive through the scenic valleys of Kohistan and Mansehra. Overnight hotel.

Transfer to airport.
