K-2 Peak Gondogoro La Trek (23 June 2023-12 July 2023)

Start our first day of trekking, walking through the sandy pony trails …

Itinerary

Day 1
Day 1: Islamabad (600m)

Arrive Islamabad International airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon presentation of program and Briefing with Ministry of tourism. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Skardu / Chilas (1000m)

Morning fly to Skardu, (Subject to weather) if flight cancelled then drive to Chilas, through KKH and the beautiful Abbotabad and Mansehra valleys. Overnight in hotel. 13 hours.

Day 3: Skardu (2667m)

In case of flight day free to explore the skardu town,visit the beautiful Satpara Lake and Kharpocho fort and local purchasing. Or Morning visit the ancient Rock carvings at Chilas and after then we drive to Skardu, stop at the Thalichi to have a magnificent view of the Nanga Parbat, and continue drive to Skardu. Overnight in hotel. (8- 9 hours).

Day 4: Askoli (3050m)

Morning drive by jeeps to Askole village through the scenic mountain villages, en route visit the 17th century Fort and Mosque in Shigar. Meals and overnight in camp.( 7- 8 hours).

Day 5: Korophon (3100m)

Today we start our first day of trekking, walking through the sandy pony trails and cross the edge of Biafo glacier before reach Korofon and after lunch we continue walk to Jolla. Overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 6: Bardumal (3350m)

After breakfast start the trek to Burdumal. An easy walk through the wild bushes and willows on the sandy trail along the Braldu River. Overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 7: Paiju (3400m)

The Biaho Lungma is followed on its northern side until the campsite at Paiju. There is a good stream to wash in, green pasture, a grove of poplar trees, and tremendous views. Paiju mean in Balti language Salt. Overnight in camp. ( 3-4 hours).

Day 8: Paiju

Day free for acclimatization. Overnight in camp.

Day 9: Urdukas (4050m)

We walk through the glacier moraines and have the backdrop view of Paiju Peak and Uli Biaho peaks. Overnight in camp. (7-8 hours).

Day 10: Gore-2 (4350m)

Trek to Goro II, follow the Glacieral trail on the Baltoro Glacier with a very magnificent view of Masherbrum Peak and Mustagh Tower. Overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 11: Concordia (4600m)

We trek through the glacier facing the view of Gasherbrum IV and Broad Peak in front, enjoy the magnificent views of many beautiful peaks before reaching Concordia. Overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 12: Concordia

Excursion to Broad peak and K2 Basecamp. Today we will enjoy the spectacular views of giant peaks of Karakoram like K-2 (8611m) Broad Peak (8048 m) Gasherbrum IV (7935 m) Baltoro Kangri (7240 m) and many countless peaks of above 7000 meters. Overnight in camp.

Day 13: Ali Camp (4950m)

Morning after breakfast we start the ascent to the Pass. Behind us the perfect pyramide of K-2 stands impassive; Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV, Golden Throne and Chogholisa Peak shadows on our left sides. Overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 14: Hisping (4600m)

Today we cross the Gondoghoro La (5650m), follow up the steep snow with help of ropes to reach the Pass, where you enjoy the impressive panoramic view of the giant peaks and longest glaciers. After short stop at the Pass we descend through the fix ropes. over night in camp. (9-10 hours).

Day 15: Daizampa (4534m)

Morning start the walk down through the rocky trails and green pasture meadows with streams of glacier water. Spectacular view of K-6 and k-7 from this campsite. overnight in camp. (5-6 hours).

Day 16: Hushe

An easy walk through the green meadows and wild juniper trees takes us to the beautiful and scenic Hushe village. Overnight in camp. (4-5 hours).

Day 17: Skardu

Morning drive by jeeps to Skardu. Visit the 17th century Khapulu Fort and Mosque with wooden carvings in Tibetan architecture. After lunch we drive to Skardu through the beautiful and scenic mountain villages along the mighty Indus River. Overnight in hotel. ( 7-8 hours).

Day 18: Chilas

Drive to Chilas through the Karakoram Highway along the mighty Indus River. Overnight in hotel.

Day 19: Rawalpindi

Drive to Rawalpindi. In way visit Taxila, the archeological museum, the well displayed of the Buddhist archeological heritage, Life of Buddha and the Gandhara Art. After the museum visit the Dharmarajika Stupa built by the Emperor Ashoka, Bhir Mound the first city built by the Achemenid Empire, Sirkap second and Sirsukh the third city built by the Bactrian Greeks,Julian Monastery and Mohra Murado were the learning center of the Philosophy, Art and medicine. Overnight in hotel.

Day 20: Rawalpindi / Islamabad

Visit twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Pakistan emerged on the map of the world on 14th of August 1947 and Karachi the capital of Sindh received the seat of the new government. But to reflect the cultures, traditions and hope of the diverse ethnies that constituted the country one new capital had to be chosen.

An eight members commission was appointed to select a suitable site and in May 1960 the Master plan of Constantinos Doxiadis was approved. The town is located on the Potohar plateau at altitudes ranging from 457 to 610m. Rawalpindi at 14 km of Islamabad and the village around were sites of settlements since prehistoric times. Afternoon Debriefing with Ministry of tourism. Overnight in hotel.

Day 21: Fly Out

Transfer to airport.

Please note that because of the nature of mountaineering on 8,000m peaks, it will be necessary to have a flexible plan in order to take the best advantage of situations as they present themselves. Any changes to the itinerary will be made with a view to maximizing the benefit to the team members and of ensuring their eventual success on the mountain.

Biafo Hispar Snow Lake Trek (22 July 2023-11 Aug 2023)

Biafo & Hispar Glaciers have a total length of 126 km and are the longest of their kind outside of the Polar Regions. They meet at the 5,150 m high Hispar Pass. This immense highway of ice and rock connects the antique kingdoms of Nagar in the West and Askoli (little Tibet) in the East.
