Indus River Boat Safari

We begin at Lahore, the Mughal city of Pakistan, by exploring some of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in this country. The 17th century Badshahi Mosque, the Lahore Fort built in 16th century Ad, the Shalimar Gardens built by Emperor Shah Jehan of the Taj Mahal are just a few examples of Lahore’s glamorous history.. Explore the old walled city that once used to have 12 gates and a defensive wall where you visit the lovely Wazir Khan Mosque with its superb frescoes and inlay pottery decorations.

Onwards to Multan, the city of Sufi Shrines and a gateway to the Indian sub continent, where invaders, conquerors and explorers from Alexander the Great to the Mughals had entered is an awe inspiring experience. Thee Famous Octagonal Tombs of the 13th century poet and saint, Bahaudin Zakria and the 14th century saint Shah Rukn Alam are a sight to be reckoned with.

We drive to Taunsa Sharif for a Boat Ride on the mighty Indus River and hit some ducks along the way for little safari experience, explore the rare species of blind Dolphins found only in the Lower Indus River. We explore the traditions and customs of the rural villages residing on the banks of Indus River.

Itinerary

Morning arrive Lahore International air port, meet and transfer to hotel. After noon visit the Lahore Museum, Badshahi Mosque built in 17th century and Lahore Fort, 16th century Ad. Visit the Wazir khan mosque inside the old walled city of Lahore. Overnight hotel.

Morning fly to Multan, visit the Tombs of Bahaudin Zakria 13th century and Shah Rukn-e-Alam 14th century Ad, visit the colorful bazaars and old city of Multan. Afternoon drive to Taunsa Barrage. Overnight in Camps.

Today we start the Boat ride on the Indus River; we pass through the villages on the banks of Indus river. After noon free to explore the area. Overnight camps.

Full day on the boat ride, enjoy the jumping of dolphins and afternoon free to explore the surrounding areas. Evening enjoy the camping on the banks of River Indus.

Morning drive to Multan, afternoon fly to Lahore, arrives and transfers to hotel.

Transfer to airport.
